Will I receive a refund for services that have not yet been delivered?
If your student has enrolled in the classroom sessions or driving lessons but has not started, you will be issued a refund. If your student has already started the program but is unable to complete the remaining requirements before the program concludes, we will refund any unused classroom sessions or driving lessons. You may request a refund by submitting a contact us form.
How can I find out exactly what remains to be completed for my student?
The My Bookings section within the student portal will show class history and any missed sessions. Behind-the-wheel instruction that has not yet been scheduled will show as an available voucher at the top of the My Bookings page.
What driver education am I required to complete?
- In Rhode Island, you need to complete a 33-hour course before sitting for your permit test. Behind-the-wheel training is optional and depends on what you purchased.
- In Massachusetts, if you're completing a full driver education program (required to obtain a license if under 18, and required if you desire certification for insurance purposes if you're 18 or older) consists of a 30-hour classroom course, a 2-hour parent class, 12 hours of behind-the-wheel, and 6 hours of observing another student.
Is there anything I need to do now?
To help ensure your student is able to complete all remaining requirements before the program concludes, we strongly encourage families to schedule any outstanding classroom sessions or driving lessons as soon as possible. As the end date approaches, availability may become more limited.
Are there other driver training options available?
Yes. Families should choose the licensed driver education provider that best fits their schedule, location, and training needs.
